Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

CANYON LAKE: Water clear; 84 degrees; 909.69' :
Largemouth are fair to good in 6'-18' on mainlake points on grn-pump Snap Back (www.terminatorlures.com) creature baits and Brush Hogs, red bug Scounrel worms (www.cremelure.com) on jigheads and green-pumpkin Craw Tubes. Upriver, the bite can last all day if the
sun doesn't come out. Blue/white/char. 1/4 oz. Terminator spinnerbaits,wacky rigged green-pumpkin plastic stickbaits like a Whacky Sticks on
a 3/0 "K" Wacky Hook (www.falconlures.com) and topwaters will all work, especially on channel turns and along laydowns and submerged trees.
Smallmouth are fair to good at first light in 5'-25' on Cisco Photon crankbaits (www.photonlures.com), 3/16 oz. Terminator finesse jigs w/Uncle Josh (www.unclejosh.com) trailers and roodbeer/green flake curl tail grubs.
Striped Bass are slow trolling Hyper Striper jigs (www.kgenterprise.com)on down riggers in 60'- 80'.
White Bass are slow.
Crappie are good upriver in 20' on minnows and Curb's crappie jigs.

LAKE LBJ: Water stained; 84 degrees; 824.70' :
Largemouth are fair at night and at first light along rip rap and water willows in 5'-10' using 1/4 oz. blk-red Terminator buzzbait (www.terminatorlures.com), green Photon (www.photonlures.com) crankbaits and 3" plastic swim baits.
Striped Bass are fair at night to 20" on 2" Lit'l Fishie Shads (www.cremelure.com), Terminator In-Line spinners and 1/8 oz. bucktail jigs.
White Bass are very good at night in 8'-22' using 1-1/2" Lit'l Fishies on 1/8 oz. jigheads.
Crappie are good at night over brushpiles in 12'-15' on Curb's crappie jigs and minnows.

Largemouth are fair to good along mainlake points at first light in 6'-15' using pumpkin-green Scoundrel worms (www.cremelure.com) on jigheads, 3/16 oz. watermelon Terminator (www.terminatorlures.com)
finesse jigs with matching Uncle Josh (www.unclejosh.com) pork trailers and wacky rigged watermelon-red Whacky Sticks.
Striped Bass are fair in 30' of water trolling 1/2 oz. white/chart Hyper Striper jigs (www.kgenterprise.com) on downriggers, vertically jigging Pirk Minnows and tight-lining live shad.
White Bass are slow in 30' on Spoiler Shads, Tiny Traps and Pirk Minnows.

Largemouth and spotted bass are good the first couple of hours of daylight in 8'-15' along points and bluff ledges using 3/16 oz. watermelon Terminator
finesse jigs (www.terminatorlures.com) w/Uncle Josh (www.unclejosh.com) pork trailers, watermelon/red Scoundrel worms (www.cremelure.com) on jigheads and Carolina rigging Snap Back jerkbaitsbaits . First crack
of daylight plastic stickbaits, Green Bug Photon crankbaits and Pop R's produce on flats at channel turns.
