Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

CANYON LAKE: Water gine clear; 80 degrees; 909':

Largemouth are good early along mainlake points in 5'-12' using wacky rigged green-pumpkin Whacky Sticks (www.cremelure.com), 5" pumpkin Slider worms on jigheads and Carolina rigged Snap Back

(www.terminatorlures.com) pumpkin-chartreuse lizards on open water ledges in 10'-20'.

Smallmouth are good to 3 pounds over rockpiles in 4'-15' on white Photon crankbaits (www.photonlures.com), smoke-red Snap Back tubes and 3" smoke or white curl tail grubs on jigheads.

Striped Bass slow trolling 1/2 oz. Hyper Striper (www,kgenterprise.com)jigs in 50'-70'. No torpwater activity, yet.

LAKE LBJ: Water stained; 80 degrees; 824.89':

Largemouth are good early along 5'-12' breaklines and creek points on silver shad Terminator spinnerbaits (www.terminatorlures.com); Frenzy poppers and green-pumpkin tubes. Wacky rigged Ice Tea Scoundrel

worms (www.cremelure.com) on a 3/0 "K" Wacky Hook (www.falconlures.com)and weightless black/blue flake Wacky Sticks produce along docks and water willow.

White Bass are very good at night in 8-20 feet on 1-1/2 inch Lit'l Fishies

Crappie are fair to good around brushpiles in 12-15 feet using white or chartreuse 1/32 oz. Curb's crappie jigs.

Largemouth are good early 8'-12' on mainlake points and ledges using Snap Back (www.terminatorlures.com) tubes on jigheads, Texas rigged watermelon-red Scoundrel (www.cremelure.com) and green Photon crankbaits (www.photonlures.com) along breaklines.

Stripers are improving early and late from Shaw to Flag Island trolling Hyper Striper (www.kgenterprise.com) 1/2 oz. jigs, jigging silver

Pirk Minnows and tight-lining live shad.
