Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

Canyon Lake: Water murky to clear; 61 degrees; 926.30':

Largemouth are good to 4.5 pounds in 2'-6' over flats on points using white Terminator "tungsten" spinnerbaits (www.terminatorlures.com), weightless chartreuse Whacky Sticks (www.cremelure.com) and Bleeding Shiner or chromeRat-l-Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com).

Smallmouth are very good early over rockpiles and gravel flats in 3'-8' on Photon crankbaits (www.photonlures.com), chartreuse tungsten spinnerbaits white 4" and 3" smoke-red Snap Back tubes.

Striped Bass are fair to good under birds on Frenzy Walkers, Shad Raps white Snap Back jerkbaits rigged on a 5/0 Bait-Jerker Hook (www.falconlures.com)

and burning Hyper Striper jigs through schooling fish.

Largemouth are very good along boulders and rip rap on 4'-10' breaklines with laydowns or stumps using wacky rigged watermelon-red Scoundrel worms(www.cremelure.com) on a 2/0 "K" Wacky Hook

(www.falconlures.com), blk-blue 3/16 oz.Terminator finesse jigs (www.terminatorlures.com) w/Uncle Josh (www.unclejosh.com) pork trailers & Bleeding Shiner Rat-l-Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com) in pockets and

creeks.

White Bass are fair trolling Shad Raps or vertically jigging Pirk Minnows.

Crappie fair on bridge pilings and docks.
