Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

Canyon Lake: Water gin clear; 64 degrees; 910':
Largemouth are very good in 2'-6' using pumpkin-chart. Snap Back lizards (www.terminatorlures.com), pumpkin-chart. Whacky Sticks (www.cremelure.com) and crawfish Rat-L-Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com). Upriver, Texas Red (new "stainless" series) Terminator spinnerbaits,
crawfish/orange Wacky Sticks rigged wacky style on a 3/0 "K" Wacky Hook Smallmouth are good to 3.5 lbs over rockpiles in 4'-8' of water on all chart. Terminator spinnerbaits, wtrmelon Devil's Tongues (www.cremelure.com)crawfish Tiny Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com) pumpkin Sliding Weight craw fish
(www.slidingweight.com).
Stripers are fair in 30' vertically jigging Pirk Minnows, Spoiler Shads and white bucktals with grub trailers.
White Bass are very good in creeks and bays on 1/4 oz. silver or white Pirk Minnows, 1/4 oz. pearl Blade Runners (www.lakeviewlures.com). Up river
use 1/32 oz. chartreuse grubs, in-line spinners and red-white tube lures.
Crappie are good over brushpiles in 6'-12' using chartreuse Curb's crappie jigs and tube lures.

Lake LBJ: Water lightly stained; 63 degrees; 824.52':
Largemouth are very good along seawall rip rap and boulders in 3'-5' on green-pumpkin Snap Back lizards (www.terminatorlures.com), black-blue Texas rigged Whacky Sticks (www.cremelure.com), crawfish Rat-L-Traps
(www.rat-l-trap.com) and albino Snap Back soft jerkbaits rigged on a 5/0 Bait Jerker Hook (www.falconlures.com) and pitching crawfish tubes to
stumps and laydowns is also producing.
Stripers are fair to 26" trolling big Shad Raps and white bucktails.
White Bass are very good under working birds on channel turns jigging silver 1/4 oz. Pirk Minnows and Tiny Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com).
Crappie are fair to good under baited docks on crappie jigs and minnows.
Yellow and Blue Catfish are fair to 9 lbs on trotlines.

Lake Buchanan: Water clear; 62 degrees; 1019.87':
Largemouth are very good in 2'- 8' in the back of creeks using deadsticking white (www.terminatorlures.com) Snap Back jerkbaits
w/chartreuse tails, chrome or crawfish Rat-L-Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com) and Texas rigged pumpkin-char. Whacky Sticks (www.cremelure.com).
Striped Bass are very good to 34" from The Willows to Mud Island trolling 1/2 oz. white/red Hyper Striper jigs (www.kgenterprise.com), gold Rattlin'
Rogues casting white bucktails and jigging silver Pirk Minnows.
White Bass are good in the upper end from Hi-line into the river on pearl Blade Runners (www.lakeviewlures.com) Pirk Minnows & Tiny Traps.
Crappie are fair to good over brushpiles in 12'-20' on Curb's crappie jigs and minnows.
