Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

Canyon Lake: Water clear; 70-74 degrees; 910.15' :

Largemouth are good early in 5'-20' using pumpkin Whacky Sticks, white 7/16 oz. Terminator titanium (www.terminatorlures.com) spinner-baits, JDC Skip-N-Pop topwaters (www.jdcbaits.com) and Ice Tea

Scoundrel worms (www.cremelure.com) on jigheads. Upriver, bass are good to 5 lbs. early along 8'-12' channel breaklines on 1/4 oz. Bleeding Shad Rat-L-Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com), threadfin pattern suspending Fat Free Shads, Texas rigged Super Tube Heavy (www.cremelure.com) and white-silver flake plastic jerkbaits .

Smallmouth are good in 8'-25' on Carolina rigged smoke-red Snap Back tubes, Sliding Weight craw fish(www.slidingweight.com) and Deep Wee R's.

Largemouth are good to 4.5 lbs in 3'-8' along seawall rip rap and breaklines of flats using blue-white-chartreuse 1/4 oz. Terminator spinnerbaits, watermelon Super Tube Heavy www.cremelure.com), 1/4 oz. Bleeding Shad 'Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com), white-chart

Terminator www.terminatorlures.com) buzz-baits & watermelon JDC Skip-N-Pop topwaters (www.jdcbaits.com) or Zara Puppies.

Stripers to 25" are fair at night on Spoiler Shads, Lit''l Fishies and free lining live bait.

Crappie are good to 14" in 4'-10' using red-chartreuseTube Lures on 1/16 oz. jigheads, 1/32 oz. Curb's crappie jigs and minnows.
