Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

Canyon Lake: Water gin clear; 80 degrees; 909.90':
Largemouth are fair to good at daylight in 5'-8' in trees and on stickups on 1/4 oz. Bleeding Shad Rat-L-Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com), wacky rigged pumpkin Whacky Sticks (www.cremelure.com), on a 3/0 "K" Wacky Hook (www.falconlures.com), weighted Albino
Snap Back soft jerkbaits (www.terminatorlures.com), 4" Ice Tea Scoundrel worms. After mid-morning, work mainlake points w/a C-rigged green-pumpkin Snap Back lizard or 4" Scoundrel worm on a drop shot rig. Upriver, "power fishing" produces at daylight using
a white 7/16 oz. Terminator tungsten spinnerbait, 1/8th Tiny-T buzzbaits, Daquri JDC Skip-N-Pop topwaters (www.jdcbaits.com).
Smallmouth are good at night in 15-25 feet of water using a 1/8 oz. Tiny-T jig and pig, Sliding Weight Baby Craw on split shot rigs and drop shot worms along ledges and rock piles.

Lake LBJ: Water stained; 80 degrees; 824.80':
Largemouth are good at night and early AM in 4'-15' along seawall rip rap and channel breaklines w/ wood on it using 1/4 oz. blk Terminator spinnerbaits or buzzbaits at night, & after daylight,Golden Shiner (www.terminatorlures.com), watermelon Skip-N-Pop topwaters (www.jdcbaits.com) 1/4 oz. Rat-L-Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com), watermelon-red Whacky
Sticks (www.cremelure.com) rigged wacky style on a 3/0 "K" Wacky Hook (www.falconlures.com) & Texas rigged watermelon-red Skeet Reese creature baits & 1/8-1/4 oz. blk/blue jigs w/Uncle Josh pork trailers (www.unclejosh.com)under and along deep water boat
docks.
Stripers are good at night on pearl Spoiler Shads, white 1/8 oz. bucktails and free-lining live bait.
White Bass are very good to 2 lbs at night on Lit'l Fishies, Spoiler Shads and Curb's crappie jigs.
Crappie are good to 14" on crappie jigs and live minnows.

Largemouth are fair to good at daylight in 3'-15' along
laydowns, bluffs and seconday creek points white 7/16 Tungsten spinnerbait (www.terminatorlures.com),
Bleeding Shad Rat-L-Trap www.rat-l-trap.com and Texas
rigged watermelon-red Craw Tubes (www.cremelure.com).
Bluffs, deep water boat docks and ledges are producing
on watermelon-red Whacky Sticks, 4" Scoundrel worms
and pitching 1/8 oz. pumpkin-brown Tiny-T jigs.
Stripers are fair - good to 26" early AM over humps in 30' on black back 3" Spoiler Shads(www.cremelure.com), and white Blade Runners (www.lakeviewlures.com).
White Bass are good at night under dock lights on pearl 2" Spoiler Shads, Lit'l Fishies and live minnows.
Crappie are fair in 12' at night and very early on 1/32 oz. red-chart crappie tubes, white crappie jigs and minnows.
