Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

Canyon Lake: Water gin clear; 86.5 degrees; 909.36':
Largemouth are good to 4.5 lbs. for the first hour or 2 of daylight, in 4'-8' on a Daiquiri JDC Skip-N-Pop topwaters (www.jdcbaits.com), 3" wht 7/16 oz. Terminator (www.terminatorlures.com) Tungsten spinner-
baits. After the sun gets overhead back out over 20+'
and work ledges from 8'-15' w/a Camo (pumpkin-pepper) JDC Drop Shot worm on a drop shot rig or 1/8th oz. Texas rigged 3" watermelon tube. Upriver, a wht/chart. Terminator spinnerbait (www.terminatorlures.com),
a Texas rigged red Craw Tube(www.cremelure.com), 1/4 oz. Rat-L-Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com) and wacky rigged Junebug 6" Scoundrel worms on a 3/0 "K" Wacky Hook (www.falconlures.com) produce along flats w/undercut
bank lines in 4'-8'.
Smallmouth are good to 3.5 lbs. at daylight along ledges & rockpiles in 4'-8' on white 7/16 oz. Terminator spinnerbait (www.terminatorlures.com), Daiquiri Skip-N-Pop (www.jdcbaits.com)
topwaters and Smokin' Green Devil's Tongues (www.cremelure.com) on split shot rigs & smoke JDC 3" JR. CRAW (www.jdcbaits.com).

Lake LBJ: Water stained; 84 degrees; 824.95':
Black bass to 5.5 lbs. are good just before and at first light along rip rap and breaklines of creek points with stumps or laydowns in 3'-6' using watermelon JDC Skip-N-Pops (www.jdcbaits.com),
Zara Spook, JR's, Bleeding Shad Rat-L-Trap (www.rat-l-trap.com) & silver Terminator spinnerbaits (www.terminatorlures.com). Once the sun gets overhead, target the shaded side of deepwater boat docks w/TX rigged watermelon-chart. Whacky Sticks (www.cremelure.com), pitching a green-pumpkin tube, Texas rigged blue flake Scoundrel worms and
Carolina rigged watermelon-red Craw Tube (www.cremelure.com)down creek points in 10'-20'.
Stripers are good at night in 8'-15' on Spoiler Shads, 1/4 oz. white bucktails and free-lining live bait.
White bass are very good at night using 1-1/2" Lit'l Fishies, Blade Runners (www.lakeviewlures.com).
Crappie are good at over brushpiles in 8'-15' on chartreuse Curbs crappie jigs and minnows.
