Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

Canyon Lake: Water gin clear; 85 degrees; 909.23'

Largemouth are fair to good in 6'-10' at daylight along ledges of mainlake points and in submerged timber 12'-18' deep working a Camo JDC Drop Shot Worm (www.jdcbaits.com) a 1/8 oz. jighead, smoke-red flake Snap Back tubes (www.terminatorlures.com) and

pumpkin-char Wacky Stick (www.cremelure.com) slowly down ledges. Upriver, 2'-5' flats on channel turns produce using white-chart Terminator spinnerbaits, Pop R's and 1/4 oz. Rat-L-Traps and later using a wacky rigged Scoundrel worm and 3" green-pumpkin JDC

Craw.

Smallmouth are fair to good at first light in 8'-20' feet on rootbeer 3" JDC Craw and 3"-4" smoke-red Snap Back tubes on 3/16 oz. jigheads.

White Bass are fair at daylight over 50'-60' of water on Lit'l Fishies, Tiny Traps and white grubs.

Crappie are fair upriver in brushpiles on 1/32 oz. crappie jigs and minnows.

Lake LBJ: Water lightly stained; 85 degrees; 824.92':

Largemouth are good at night and first light along the edges of emergent weeds, stumps & laydowns in 4'-10' using a Bleeding Shad Rat-L-Trap (www.rat-l-trap.com), watermelon-red Wacky Sticks (www.cremelure.com), a white Double Buzz Terminator buzzbait or the 7/16 oz. custom Titanium spinnerbait (www.terminatorlures.com).

Stripers are fair to good at night and at first light using Spoiler Shads and white bucktail jigs with grub trailers White Bass are good at night on Lit'l Fishies and Tiny Traps.

Crappie are good at night under lights over brushpiles in 10'-15' on minnows and crappie jigs.

Lake Buchanan: Water clear; 85 degrees; 1017.70':

Largemouth are fair to good at daylight along stickups and docks above breaklines of flats clost to creeks in 5'-9' using watermelon Skip-N-Pop topwaters (www.jdcbaits.com), white-char. Terminator stainless series spinnerbaits www.terminatorlures.com) and 1/4 oz. Bleeding Shad Rat-L-Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com) or a pumpkin 5" Wacky Stick (www.cremelure.com). After the sun gets on the water we move to shaded bluff ledges or submerged mainlake humps in 14'-20' and use Carolina rigged wtrmelon-red Snap Back creature

baits (www.terminatorlure.com) or drop shot a grn-pump. JDC Drop Shot Worm (www.jdcbaits.com).

Stripers are only fair from Black Rock to the dam down-rigging striper jigs, vertically jigging Pirk Minnows or drifting live bait.

White Bass are fair to good at night under lights on white 2" Spoiler Shads (www.cremelure.com), and Tiny Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com)
