Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

Canyon Lake: Water gin clear; 84-86 degrees; 908.94'':

Largemouth are good 5+ lbs. especially under cloud cover, along 4'-20' ledges and breaklines on watermelon-red 4" Whacky Sticks (www.cremelure.com) rigged wacky style on "K" Wacky Hooks (www.falconlures.com), smoke-red JDC Skip-N-Pop topwaters (www.jdcbaits.com) & white-red (Red Series) Terminator spinnerbaits (www.terminatorlures.com). Upriver, under-cut banklines w/4'-10' of water on them are good early on chrome Rat-L-Tops (www.rat-l-trap.com), white-chart 1/8 th oz. Tiny-T buzzbaits

(www.terminatorlures.com) and Texas rigged pumpkin-chartreuse tail 4" Ring Worms.

Smallmouth are fair at first light on mainlake points in 12'-25' using smoke-red Snap Back (www.terminatorlures.com) tube, 4" Whacky Stick and rootbeer-black JDC grub.

Lake Buchanan: Water clear; 85 degrees; 1017':

Largemouth have been fair-good, to 4.5 lbs at first light and all day under cloud cover as water level rises along 5'-12' breaklines of flats w/stickups along creek channels & ledges on white-char.

Terminator stainless spinnerbaits (www.terminatorlures.com), Series 10 'Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com) watermelon-chartreuse Whacky Sticks (www.cremelure.com) both wacky & Texas rigged,

drop shotting camo JDC Drop Shot Worm (www.jdcbaits.com) and C-rigged Snap Back creature baits (www.terminatorlures.com).

Stripers are slow near the dam trolling and drifting live bait.

Lake LBJ: Water lightly stained; 86 degrees; 824.88':

Largemouth are good at night & all day under cloud cover, on brush-piles and laydowns along breaklines on a sil. Terminator buzzbaits (www.terminatorlures.com), 1/4 oz. Bleeding Shad series Rat-L-Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com) and medium running chart-blue back crankbaits and boat docks in 8'- 20' using watermelon-red Craw Tubes (www.cremelure.com), green-pump. JDC Craw (www.jdcbaits.com) & watermelon-red Snap Back creature baits.

Stripers are fair at night on Spoiler Shads and white JDC grubs.

White Bass are fair to good at night on 1-1/2" Lit'l Fishies.

Crappie are fair to good at night on minnows.
