Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

Canyon Lake: Water clear; 52 degrees; 906.72' (3' Low):
Largemouth are fair in 10'-25' in submerged timber on mainlake points using Texas rigged 6' green-pumpkin Scoundrel worms,pumpkin Snap Back lizards and jigging Pirk Minnows.
Smallmouth are good over rockpiles and along deep water ledges bumping 3" smoke JDC Craws and brown 1/8 oz. hair jigs with pork strip trailers.
Stripers are improved from Comal Park down lake swimming 3" Spoiler Shads and vertically jigging Pirk Minnows.
Crappie are fair but mostly small on minnows in 20' at the fishing pier/dock.

Lake LBJ: Water mostly clear; 51 degrees; 824.94' (full)
Largemouth are fair to good along laydowns and stumps on breaklines dropping off into deeper channels pitching 1/4 oz. black-purple Terminator Pro's Secret jigs w/pork trailers, black-blue flake Scoundrel worms and smoke-red 5" JDC Craws on jigheads.
White Bass are slow in 30' in the lower end jigging Pirk Minnows swimming Spoiler Shads and Tiny Traps.
Crappie are fair around heated "crappie" docks on minnows.
