Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

Canyon Lake: Water clear; 63 degrees; 905.93':
Largemouth are good between cold fronts along gravel flats in 3'-8' of water using wacky rigged white Whacky Sticks, crawfish Rat-L-Traps, 5" weightless twitch baits and smoke-red flake Snap Back tubes.
Smallmouth are very good to 3.5 lbs over rockpiles from 4' to 15' deep on smoke-red JDC 3" Craws, smoke tubes and all chartreuse Terminator tungsten spinnerbaits.
Stripers are slow to fair at midlake vertically jigging 1/2 oz. Pirk Minnows, swimming Spoiler Shads and trolling.
White Bass are fair to good on chartreuse or white grubs, small Terminator In-Line spinners and 1/8 oz. Tiny Traps.
Crappie are good on minnows.

Largemouth to 6 lbs are very good in 2'-5' pitching green-pumpkin tubes, Rat-L-Traps, weightless wacky rigged Whacky Sticks and deadsticking watermelon-red twitch baits.
White Bass are good trolling Terminator In-Line spinners, small crankbaits and casting 2" Spoiler Shads through schools.
Crappie are very good in 1'-3' on 1/32 oz. crappie jigs and live minnows.
