Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

Canyon Lake: Water gin clear: 70 degrees; 906.20' (3' low)
Largemouth are good at first light along mainlake points and bluffs inside of secondary points in 4'-15' using pumpkin JDC Skip-N-Pop topwaters, green pumpkin Scoundrel Worms on jigheads and blue back Bleeding
Shad Rat-L-Traps. White Terminator custom tungsten spinnerbaits and buzzbaits are producing early in standing timber as is pitching green-pumpkin tubes and blue flake 5" worms.
Smallmouth are good in 8'-20' of water using smoke-red Super Tubes, 4" rootbeer JDC curl tail grubs and Smokin' Green Devil's Tongues on drop shots.
White Bass are fair to good at night at the fishing pier and under lights.
Crappie are good at the fishing pier on live minnows.

Lake LBJ: Water clear, 69 degrees; 824.80':
Black Bass are good early and late in 5'-12' and over pods of coontail and along pockets of water willows using Rat-L-Traps, wacky rigged JDC blue flake Whacky Sticks using a 2/0 Falcon Lures "K" Wacky Hook and blue shad Terminator spinnerbaits along breaklines.
Stripers are fair at night on 2" Spoiler Shads and freelining live bait.
White Bass are very good in schooling activity early on 1/8 oz. Tiny Traps and at night on 1.5 inch Spoiler Shads.
Crappie are good on white crappie jigs and live minnows. in brushpiles.
