Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

Canyon Lake: Water clear; 74 degrees; 906.15' (3' low):
Largemouth are good until the sun is on the water over
submerged trees along bluff ledges in 10'-15' feet cranking shad colored Deep Little N's, smoke JDC grubs, and blk/blue Scoundrel worms on jigheads.
Smallmouth are good early in 12'-23' using Ice Tea Devil's Tongues on drop shots, smoke-red tubes and smoke 3" JDC Craws.

Black Bass are good in numbers early and all day 5'-10'
above and along channel breaklines on watermelon JDC
Skip-N-Pop topwaters, blue-white-chartreuse Terminator
spinnerbaits, Rat-L-Traps and wacky rigged watermelon-red Whacky Sticks. Pitching watermelon Big Pig creature baits (Creme Lures) w/tails dipped chartreuse in brushpiles and rip rap White Bass are fair to good in schooling action at daylight on 1/8 oz. Tiny Traps and Shad Raps and at night on 1" Spoiler Shads and Lit'l Fishies on 1/32 oz. jigheads.
Crappie are fair to 15" on minnows over brushpiles .
