Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

Canyon Lake: Water clear; 80-83 degrees; 904.75:
Largemouth are fair to 5 lbs before and at first light in trees and docks 5'-30' deep pitching watermelon Terminator finesse jigs w/Devils Tongue trailers, and finesse worms on drop shot rigs.
Smallmouth are fair, better at night in 4'-23' using black-red Terminator spinnerbaits, black JDC Skip N Pop topwaters and junebug Scoundrel worms rigged on jigheads.

Largemouth to 4-1/2 lbs are good at night and first light along laydowns and waterwillows in 4'-8' using Silver Shad Terminator spinnerbaits, topwater chuggars and watermelon-red creature baits.
Striper are fair at night on 1-1/2 Spoiler Shads and white grubs.
White Bass are fair to good at night on Lit'l Fishies and 1" Spoiler Shads.
Crappie are fair to good at night in 8'-14' on crappie jigs and white grubs.
