Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

Canyon Lake: Water clear; 76-78 degrees; 902.87':
Largemouth are fair to good at first light in 12-20 feet along mainlake bluffs and some humps in the clearer creeks using green pumpkin tubes, Texas rigged 4" - 6" blue fleck Power Worms and JDC Skip N Pop topwaters right at daylight.
Smallmouth are fair to good to 3 lbs. 15'-20' on rootbeer JDC grubs, smokin' green Devil's Tongues on drop shots, and green pumpkin tubes on jigheads produce.
Stripers are fair to 7 lbs. trolling Deep Tail Dancers, vertically jigging 1/2 oz. silver Pirk Minnows around humps.

Lake LBJ: Water clear; 75 degrees; 824. 75':
Largemouth are good early and late along 5-12 foot breaklines on white JDC Skip N Pops topwaters blue/white/chart Terminator spinnerbaits and watermelon-red plastic stickbaits like Whacky Sticks.
Stripers to 5 lbs. are good at night on blue back 1-1/2" Lit'l Fishies and white 2" Spoiler Shads.
White bass are good at night using 1-1/2" Lit'l Fishies and Spoiler Shads.
Crappie are fair over brushpiles on white Curb's jigs
and minnows.
