Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

Canyon Lake: Water clear; 73 degrees; 902.42':
Largemouth are fair to good at first light in 12'-20' along mainlake bluffs and some humps in the clearer creeks using Tomato Red JDC grubs, Texas rigged 6" green pumpkin Scoundrel worms and JDC Skip N Pop topwaters right at daylight and all day under cover.
Smallmouth are fair to good to 3 lbs. in 15'-20' on rootbeer
JDC grubs, smokin' green Devil's Tongues on drop shots, and Tomato Red JDC grubs on jigheads produce.
Stripers are fair to 7 lbs. trolling Deep Tail Dancers, vertically jigging 1/2 oz. silver Pirk Minnows around humps.

Lake LBJ: Water clear; 70 degrees; 824. 75':
Largemouth are good early and late and all day under
cloud cover along and rip rap breaklines using white
JDC Skip N Pop topwaters, Bleeding Shad Rat-L-Trap,
silver Terminator buzzbaits and watermelon-red plastic stickbaits like Whacky Sticks.
Stripers to 5 lbs. are good at night on blue back 1-1/2" Lit'l Fishies and white 2" Spoiler Shads.
White bass are good at night using 1-1/2" Lit'l Fishies and Spoiler Shads.
Crappie are fair over 15' brushpiles on white Curb's jigs and minnows.

Lake Buchanan: Water clear; 70 degrees; 1000.21':
Depressingly low water levels are making launching nearly impossible. Very few fishermen out.
