Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

Canyon Lake: Water murky to clear; 81 degrees; 911.76':

Canyon Lake: Water murky to clear; 81 degrees; 911.76': Largemouth are fair in flooded bushes and grass bank shallow at sunrise. Target stickups and flooded grass in back of creeks and coves using topwaters, Flukes and Whacky Sticks. Smallmouth are fair early in 10'- 21' using JDC grubs, Gambler Crickets and white crankbaits. Stripers are slow. White Bass are slow. Crappie are fair in standing timber on minnows and Curb's jigs. Channel Catfish are fair. Yellow and Blue Catfish are good upriver on goldfish and perch.
