Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report
Canyon Lake: Water: clear; 58 degrees; 909':
Largemouth are fair to good in 12' to 22' along break-
lines and bluff ledges on tomato red JDC curl tail grubs, 1/8th oz. pumpkin/char. hair jigs and Texas rigged blue flake Scoundrel worms on shaky head jigs.
Smallmouth are good along ledges and over rockpiles in 15' to 25' feet using JDC smoke red flake tubes and tomato red curl tail grubs and matching drop shot
worms.
Stripers are fair to good trolling 1/4 oz. white Curbs striper jigs vertically jigging Pirk Minnows and Spoiler Shads.
Crappie are fair up river on minnows and crappie jigs.

Lake LBJ Water Stained, 58- degrees, FIVE FEET LOW FOR 6 WEEKS:
LCRA has begun lowering the lake in order for home owners to "clean up" damage and debris from the flood of July 2007.

Lake Buchanan: Water: clear; 57 degrees; 1018.28'
Largemouth are good on along ledges in 12'-20' using
smoke JDC spider grubs or blue flake Whacky Sticks on
jigheads and 1/8 th oz. black/chart. Curb's hair jigs.
Stripers are good in 25' to 40' casting drifting live bait,trolling white/chartreuse Curbs striper jigs and jigging Pirk Minnows.
White Bass are slow.
Crappie are fair over brushpiles in 12' - 15' on crappie jigs and live minnows.
