Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

Canyon Lake: Water: clear; 58 degrees; 909':
Largemouth are fair in 15' to 25' crawling Carolina
rigged lizards, 1/8th oz. pumpkin/char. hair jigs with a JDC Pebble Craw trailer and Texas rigged blue flake Scoundrel worms on shaky jigheads along breaklines and ledges.
Smallmouth are fair to good in 10' to 25' feet along ledges and over rockpiles using JDC smoke-red flake tubes and tomato red curl tail grubs and matching drop shot worms.
Stripers are fair to good trolling 1/4 oz. white Curbs striper jigs vertically jigging Pirk Minnows and Spoiler Shads.
White Bass fair in 40 feet along main river channel at midlake jigging Pirk Minnows and 1/4 oz. Blade Baits.
Crappie are fair up river on minnows and crappie jigs.

Lake Buchanan: Water: clear; 57 degrees; 1018.36' (full)
Largemouth are fair to good on along ledges in 12'-20' using Carolina rigged black-blue lizards, 1/8 th oz. black/chart. Curb's hair jigs with smoke-gold flake JDC RocKraw trailers, blue flake Whacky Sticks on jigheads.
Stripers are fair in 28' drifting live bait, trolling white/chart.Curbs striper jigs and Rattlin' Rogues.
White Bass are slow.
Crappie are fair over brushpiles in 12' - 15' on crappie minnows
