Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

Lake LBJ

FISHING IS BEST AT NIGHT! Largemouth are fair to good to 5 lbs. working lighted boat docks with brush piles under them with black Terminator buzzbaits or spinnerbaits, Carolina rigged light pumpkin or watermelon Minnie Bucket lizards or Creme Devil's Tongues on split shot rigs. Some of the better fish are coming out of 20' holes on creek channels on Texas rigged red shad or watermelon/chartreuse Creme Scremer worms. Locate brushpiles along rip rap in deep water. CRAPPIE & WHITE BASS fair to good at night under lighted docks on 1/8th oz. chrome Rat-L-Traps or Spin Traps & 1/16th oz. white bucktail Curb's crappie jigs. From daylight until 8:00 AM crappie are good over brush in 12'-20' on char.Creme Tiny Tubes and minnows.
