Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

Lake LBJ/Marble Falls

LARGEMOUTH are good very early AM, late evening and at night working 1'-4' in rip rap on seawalls using an alwife Lake Fork Magic Shad, Twin Tail Kapila smoke/blue flake grub and watermelon Creme Super Tube. At night a Texas rigged red shad Minnie Bucket MagWorm is taking very good fish in 20' channels for our clients. During the day, work the same structure with an ice tea Creme Scoundrel worm on a wacky rig. WHITE BASS & CRAPPIE are good at night under lighted docks using a white or chartreuse 1/16 oz. Curb's crappie jig. My client, David Junkin or Wimberly,TX. recently set the 6 lb. line class record for striped bass with a 28"X 16", 11.8 lb. striper using this technique. For a guided trip contact Jim at (830) 833-5688 or email [email protected].
