Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

LAKE LBJ

LARGEMOUTH fishing is good at night and very early in the morning. Look for fish in 2'-5' on flats and creek points breaking off into deep water using 1/8 oz. black/blue Terminator buzzbaits, Rat-L-Tops and Texas rigged red shad MagWorms. After sunup work boat docks with white or silver 1/8 or 1/4 oz. Terminator spinnerbaits, smoke/blue flake Kapalia twin tail grubs on 1.8 oz. heads or Ice Tea Scoundrel worms. Try an Ice Tea Creme Devil's Tongue on split shot rigs along sloping creek points. WHITE BASS & CRAPPIE fishing is very good at night under docks with brush piles using a white or chartreuse 1/32 oz. Curb's crappie jig or Creme Tiny Tube with Berkley crappie chunks.
