Lake Ray Roberts - Freshwater Fishing Report

What a great week we have had. The bass fishing has been excellent, along with the sandies. The lake is still 3 feet low. Water temps are running 60 to 66. Water clarity is still a little dirty in places, but not bad.
Looks like our first big wave of fish have hit the banks. Flukes are starting to produce on a regular basis. Watermelon/red has been best. There are still a lot of pre-spawn fish out there. Red traps, green pumpkin, and black/neon baby brush hogs are working best on the pre spawners. Didn't have much of a spinnerbait bite this week. They were just scattered. Coby (buch1565) got his personal best yesterday. She weighed in a 10lbs 5oz. He couldn't fish for about 15 minutes. He had a great day. He had a couple other really nice slot fish. Dennis got a nice slot fish earlier this week.

It seems the sandies are everywhere. The gulls have been going crazy over them. I have seen them from Buck to south of Sand. Still catching them on a chartruese/white/red slab 1oz.
I still have March 30th open. Somehow I still have Saturday April 4th and 11th open. Saturdays usually go really quick.
If you are looking to fill the freezer or to go after those green fish give me a call.
Thanks
Dannie
