Lake Ray Roberts Fishing Report

Lake Ray Roberts is almost normal level at 3 inches low. The water temperature thursday on the main lake was 51 degrees. Sand bass fishing is good on Ray Roberts in the winter as the water temperatures drop into the 40's. This week the best depth was 25 to 30 on top of the humps and points. This time of year you can find fish with your electronics at all different depths on a good structure spot on Ray Roberts. The key is to find what depth the best bite is and when you do you can find fish active at the same depth on other areas. Cotton Cordell 3/4 oz. CC Spoon chrome with a Flies-By-Night sea green jig tied above it is the best bait this week. Most bites this time of year will be within 6 inches of the bottom and sometimes just holding the bait still produces the best. If you want to learn how to catch cold water white bass on Ray Roberts pick a good weather day and give me call.

Happy Holidays,

Tim
