5-13-05 The winds have been laid down real nice for the past few days with reports that today wouldn't be too bad. WELL, mother nature proved again that when you think you have a handle on things, she will throw a wrench in the cogs. We headed to the tower and the seas actually looked one time it was going to lay out, wrong!!!!!!! We got there and was able to fish for about an hour until the winds decided we had fished long enough and a blow she did, building the seas to a good 6 to 8 feet. We had a little bit of a trough coming back which made the ride in not quite as bad but boy did we ever have a cross wind as we were running a 330 north with a steady 15 to 20 mph NE wind. But, we had a good crew on board who understood how the sea can deal you a bad hand sometimes!!! Our fishing team consisted of Mike and Sherri Gould, Brian Gould, Kim Smith and Erik Danner. These were Kim's and Erik's first king mackeral. Erik also was able to weigh his king mackeral in to place in the junior division of the "Oak Island Fishing Club". WAY TO GO ERIK!!!!!!!!!!!! Capt. Chris and myself really enjoyed the short time we were able to fish with you guys, and hope we will be able to do it again with better weather!!! Check out the pic's on my site.
