Fishing Report - Sebastian Offshore - 23 July 04

Bait everywhere, seas 0-2 feet, but most of the action was quiet today. Landed 2 kings, 2 barracuda and a pair of sharks. Haven't seen the usual remora or bonita; no dolphin either.
Kings and barracuda were landed in 60-90 feet of water, near 72 foot ridge. 3 weeks ago this area was loaded with kings, some dolphin. Not sure what changed. (Cold water upwelling turn everything off week ago?)
Found a decent rip with broken weeds at about 150 feet (24 miles due east of the inlet). Landed 2 small reef sharks, again - no dolphin to be seen.
Action seems best at first light, tapering off around 8-9am. If you leave the inlet in the dark, just be careful if the tide is outgoing.
Fair winds and following seas to all!
Mark I.
