Inshore Fishing report for Jupiter

Postby phlats » Sun Feb 20, 2005 8:40 pm

The fishing has been steady the past couple of days on the flats the water temp is 70 at low tide and reaches 72 at high tide. The trout bite has been good on jigs and live shrimp, along with the pompano. Getting to the pompano has been a little tough at times do to all the lady fish that are every where right now, the size range on them is anywhere from 1 to 4 lbs. A couple of flounder have also been caught on live shrimp drifted on the bottom, with the mix bag of snapper, sheepshead, and jacks. Moving on to the fresh water bass fishing is excellent right now in the lakes out west the water temps are a little chilly still but there getting better. The deeper holes are holding bass from 3 to 7lbs. I have been using 3'' and 4'' storm baits bounced real slow on the bottom, along with wild shiners which the bass can not resist. Up in the canals bass are hitting watermelon seed trick worms carolina rigged along with 1/4 white spinner baits. Well thats it for this weeks report good luck to all and GO GET EM.
Get on IT.
