Finest Kind Swordfish Tournament

Postby TFO » Wed Oct 15, 2003 3:45 pm

Here is a cool still from some video that was shot during the Finest Kind Swordfish Tournament this past weekend. This was a 30- 40lb fish that ate a large squid around 3:30am off Boynton Beach Inlet in 1300-1400 ft of water. Pretty wild to see this fish coming out of the deep in the black of night. There is streaming video of the catch and release of this fish on the website for free if anyone wants to check it out.

Congrats to Captain VJ Bell for this was his first Swordfish and Angler Joe Lehner for reeling it in. It was also Joe's first. It was a long night but it was sure nice when this fish decided to eat. Worth the wait.
