It was a very foggy morning on the Wisconsin River today! We spent the morning fishing walleyes; in addition to some smaller fish we released, we boated 9 legals from 16"-19 7/8" and a bonus jumbo perch - we were off the water before noon.
The water levels have risen since yesterday, and the color is that of a light chocolate milk with surface temperatures ranging from 33-41 degrees. The key to locating and catching fish was to find both clearer and warmer water; jigs and minnows worked just fine as ususal. The forecast calls for periods of rain and warmer spring-like temperatures over the next week - the fishing should only get better!
Tight lines,
