PP Vs. SW

Postby Thundermist » Fri Oct 19, 2007 11:34 pm

Hi Redfish,

I have used both Power Pro & Spider Wire, but I actually didn't find a difference. I'm surprised that you are having trouble with power pro? I just line the base of my spool with mono, then I spool up with Power Pro. I then like to add a long leader of Fluorocarbon line. This combination works well for me.

Hi, um power pro totally beats spiderwire, no doubt! Ive had pp for 4 years now and no issues at all. I bass fish from time to time, and i have gotten my lures stuck, and usually my hook or w.e i caught will break before my powerpro, i use 20#. I am just saying, i love PP, i hate SW, used it before and youll never catch me with it.

I personally think spiderwire blows Power Pro away when it comes to casting. I use nothing but Spider Wire Ultra cast. Power Pro is very strong but tends to get a lot of wind knots. I use Power Pro when bottom fishing.
