Fly Rods for the Surf ?

Ahoy friends, I'm new to the site , looking for input for equipment to use with the skinny rods in the surf. I primarily fish for reds.specks and sharks in the Gulf on the upper Texas coast with conventional and now entering a new phase.

I recently bought a few Redbone Hurricane Rods at Sports Authority. I'm REALLY happy with these rods so far. They are among the best quality rods available at Sports Authority and normally retail for around $90, but I bought them on sale AND with a coupon for approx. $45. An excellent deal at that price.
