I am new in the area and have a flats boat. I am wondering if someone could help a guy out. I am looking for good fishin spots for trout, snook or even tarpon. If someone has coordinates or info I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance. :)

Welcome!

If you're new to the area, I would first try fishing the inlets. Haulover and Government Cut both Snook and Tarpon in good numbers.

Haulover inlet will be a hot spot for tarpon for the next 2 months (Jan. & Feb.). Fish along the beach immediately south of the inlet and drift with live shrimp. Nighttime is best.

Government Cut will get better as the Winter wanes and we approach Spring. For tarpon, drift the area south of the jetty and east of Fisher Island with live shrimp, pinfish, crabs, mullet – whatever you can get your hands on. If it's snook you desire, toss your baits up against the jetty rocks.

Good luck!

PS:

Here are some recent pics from fishing the inlets in Dade County:
