October Glass in Key West

October is over and it was a very memorable month. This month started off with flat seas and nice well organized grass lines, it was pretty far offshore, mostly at 750ft. and deeper to the wall, but definetly worth the run. Some of the biggest Dolphin I've landed since May were passing through. Into the second week of October, some Wahoo passed through and it seemed like every charter boat that went out landed a few mixed in 10 or 20 Dolphin. We got three Wahoo in two days and haven't seen one since. Over the second weekend, the winds picked up and we caught a lot of Dolphin and two large sails in 500 to 700ft. and even a few blackfin tuna. The steady winds for the last third of the month have kept me inshore with a steady catch of Mutton, Grouper, Yellowtail and a ton of Mackarel. It is a great time to be out on the water in Key West!
