Key Largo Camping & Fishing Trip

Postby DaytonaDave » Sun Mar 30, 2003 1:37 pm

I've got a trip planed to Key Largo for april 17-21 and have a 16ft flats boat :D Any suggestions for what or where might be Hot. It will be just after full moon. Keep those lines tight. I've been to crystal river last weekend and the trout were there. Mosquito lagoon still has the fish but water levels seem low so watch yourself. Any perfered tackle shops, resturants or bars in Largo?? I already know my way to the Mandalay. Thanks Later

You have a flats boat – fish the flats…

Full moon will bring spring tides. I’d concentrate on flats and later the shorelines during the rise. Then try the finger channels and creeks mouths during the fall.

The bridges at night should also offer good tarpon action.
