Snook, Redfish, Snapper, Bonito: Naples, FL Fishbuster Dave

I fished Estero Bay Thursday with Jim & Pat Hawkins. We caught and released four under-sized snook, and hooked two would-be keepers that broke the line. We also caught and released two redfish, one at 17 inches, and the other at 26 inches. We used shiners at New Pass and the oyster bars.

Saturday, I fished ten miles off the Ritz Carlton with Lynn Welch and daughter, Vicki. Using live shrimp, we caught fourteen keeper mangrove snapper and keeper triggerfish, and released gag grouper shorts.

Sunday, John Carmack and Bill Maslow fished with me between 21 and 30 miles off Naples. We caught 3 nice bonito about 28 miles out, at the Monique shrimp boat wreck, using live pinfish. We also got a bunch of nice lane snapper and two limits of mangrove snapper on live shrimp, and we released grunts, blue runners, and grouper shorts.
