I fished Saturday with Jim Manwell and friend, Mark, using live shrimp and pinfish 16 to 28 miles off New Pass. We caught a couple limits of mangrove snapper and large grunts, released gag and red grouper shorts, as well as a 40 pound goliath grouper. We hooked a couple other big goliaths, but they broke our lines before we got them boatside. Find complete info and fish photo album at
