Friday, I had a great day fishing with Dan Gaus, 19 miles off Bonita, with live shrimp. We caught three keeper gag grouper to 29 inches. The largest one bit a snapper we were reeling in on top of the water, and we used the snapper to tease the grouper while we got another pole that was baited with a piece of cut bait into the water. The gag bit the cut bait, and we reeled him in! We also kept ten mangrove snapper to 16 inches, and released a bunch more, along with Spanish mackerel to 23 inches, porkfish, grunts and porgies.
