Tampa Bay Fishing Report 3-22-2006

Spanish Mackerel have burst uon the inshore fising scene and the Kings cannot be far behind!

Fishing the beaches from Johns Pass to Indian Rocks, we caught a dozen or more large (18-24") Spanish this past week with a few breakoffs that could have been migrating Kingfish.

Cobia have also been in the picture as we caught 2 that were undersized in the same area. The Cobia were not shy as they came right to the boat for breakfast. We obliged and after a brief battle, released them to grow up.

Snook have also been active, with the best bites coming on an outgoing tide later in the afternoon. We hooked 2 this past week, ut lost them to the dock pilings.

Regards,
Capt. Chuck MacIntyre
