Spring has sprung!
This is what we have waited for, enduring the last 2 months of cold weather and wind!

This past week, the Grouper bite was outstanding with fish to 15 pounds being landed on every trip. Having to sort through 20 or 25 shorts was the norm as every fish in the Gulf seems to be in a biting mood. The magic number has been anywhere from 45 to 60 feet.
I went through 15 pounds of bait in 1 trip!

Just as you thought it could not get any better, the Kingfish move in. Employing flatlines while bottom fishing produced 2 schoolies in the 10 pound range. It won’t be long before screaming drags will be heard from the Skyway to Anclote Key.

Catch’em up!
