Hello in cyberfish land! Just wanted to report a trip out of bayport last friday march 12. WOW what a nice day! a little brisk in the morning but warmed up nicely.Soft NE wind seas 2' water temp 68. Stopped by the rocks on the way out and caught these pinfish looking thingies. dont know what they were but the grouper sure did! they were greenish gold with a black spot at the base of the tail.Anyway in 30 to35ft water we managed to catch, between 3 of us, 20 gags with 2-22" keepers, countless grunts on squid many in the 12 to 14" size.John managed to land one of the largest without hooking it! somehow the line became so wrapped around this guy that when he brought it up the fish was hanging upsidedown with the hook hanging under him! And thats no fish story! Also got 1 nice trigger,Nathan switched to a jig(since captain yours truly forgot the lead)and landed a nice spanish mack...a sign of things to come! GOOD FISHING to youall!
cant wait to hit the bottom!
