I would appreciate some advice

Postby fishington123 » Thu Feb 10, 2005 3:21 pm

I was wondering if anyone familiar with the area could give me a bit of advice please.
I am travelling over from England next week for two weeks on the gulf coast (one at Bradenton and one at Clearwater). I cannot bring all of my tackle, so I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of what sort of kit to bring. I know there are a couple of piers at Bradenton and Anna Marie Island and one at clearwater, but am not sure how you should fish them or what sorts of fish you might expect to catch. Am I likely to catch anything casting from the beach? Do you use float tackle (bobbers) or is it bottom fishing or spinning? What breaking strain line should I use 10, 15, 20 pound (or more)? Is the fishing any good in the inland waterways? again what Am I likely to catch?
