I had the pleasure of taking Pat Gray Sr & Jr from Lafayette fishing today. Our morning started off with a real good steady bite. Pat Sr broke the ice early putting the first fish on ice before the sun broke the horizon!! The bite steadily got better as the sun came up, as we were getting bites or reeling in fish almost everycast. Then it happened.......the bite shut down on us. We made our rounds checking everyplace that would be holding fish. Found one place that gave up another 6-7 trout. No limits today but ended with a real nice BOX of fish!!! Pat Sr also added a nice redfish and puppy drum to the box for the grill. Today's trout averaged 16 inch's and all fell victim to Saltwater Tackle Halographic Minnows in various colors. Thanks to my crew for the great company today, great fishing with you guys!! Looking forward to tomorrow!
