Fishing with fly fishermen

Postby Stan Wright » Sat May 21, 2005 5:53 pm

I've fished with lots of people over the years, and if I had my druthers, I'd druther fish with a fly fisherman.

Fly fisherman just seem to enjoy being out on the water. Sure, they like to catch fish, but if nothing is landed...... well they still feel it was a good day. They get just as much pleasure from a well placed cast as they do landing a good fish. I've seen fly anglers get more excited at having a peacock bass try to eat their popping bug, than other larger fish that they have landed.

There is just something laid back and relaxing about people who enjoy fly fishing. Makes them a real pleasure to be around.

Aloha,
Stan

When it comes to fishing.....
Women are easier to teach than men.
Women listen when you give advice.
Given a man and a woman with equal fishing skills....
The woman will catch more fish.
