Big, Lake Harris 9 pound Largemouth Bass!

Lake Harris - Alabama's Tallapoosa River Lake Harris (better known as Lake Wedowee by the locals in the nearby town of Wedowee, Al.), has yielded some big largemouth bass during the Spring season. There have been "dozens" of bass weighing in the "teens" or better, two bass (weighing 16.2 lbs. and 16.4 lbs.) almost beat Alabama's age-old state record largemouth bass. One floater bass found deceased, weigheds over 17 pounds!
Lake Martin - This lake was impounded in 1926 and it does not offer as many chances for big largemouth bass as upper reservoir Lake Harris. But it can yield plenty of bass, those exceeding 10 pounds, in the Spring season.

I have seen bass (as owner of Reeds Guide Service website: www.fishingalabama.com Alabama's oldest professional Guide Service for over 40 years), some weighing up to 13 1/2 pounds, caught on Lake Harris (Lake Wedowee), mosly in the late Winter-Spring Season's.
