Lake Eufaula - Freshwater Fishing Report

Lake level 187.22 msl
Water clarity slight stain
Water temperature low 70's
The fronts have had the barometer moving like a window shade. The fish are scattered. Catching is hit and miss. The early bite is in the pads and cover with frogs and top water baits doing best. Blade baits will get some action started when the shad are not moving much. Deep cranks and shaky heads are doing the trick on deeper trash piles.
Crappie are getting cranked back up on jigs on the trash piles in deeper spots.
Shell crackers are eating worms in the creeks. Some nice sized ones are being caught.
Blue Gills are hitting crickets around the banks where you find blow downs and cover.
Catfish are always cooperative, especially on jugs baited with cut bait.
Check out www.alabamachildrensclassic.org and see the new hunt at being offered for a $5.00 donation.
Good luck on the water, fall fishing is going to be great.
God Bless & Good Fishn'
