Lake Eufaula - Freshwater Fishing Report

Water Level 187.86 msl
Temperature low 80's
Clarity, stained to clear
The water level is dangerously low. Be sure and respect the river cans and creek poles.
The cold weather and low water have the fish off their game. Tournaments usually needing 20 plus pound bags this time of year are paying first place with less than 10 pounds.
The pads are not completely formed out, we should be fishing pad fields that are acres in size. The grass and cover are on dry ground.
Bass need extremely slow presentations of soft plastics and top water baits.
Crappie are still biting jigs on the top of drops and at night under lights.Jigs are the trick.
Pan fish are doing okay on worms and crickets. As the weather warms up, this action will pick up.
Catfish are slower than usual but warmer weather will change that for the better.
Remember the Lee King Benefit Buddy Tournament coming up in three weeks. This is our first memorial tournament since Lee's passing. Please visit www.leekingbenefit.org for all the details, or stop by S & K Outdoors in Eufaula to sign up.334 687 6266
