Lake Eufaula - Freshwater Fishing Report

Water clarity- Murky
Temp. dropping
The river is very low. The warm days and cold nights have the temp varying. Low to mid 50's mainly now. With the low water levels, the vegetation is going to germinate in the spring, and we are going to have an extremely "hot" bite next year.
Bass are holding around tree piles and cover up in the day. Any shoreline cover is holding early and late fish. Flukes and frogs are the trick for the shore cover and blow downs. Jigs are doing great there as well as deeper water.
Respect the river cans and creek markers. The water is low, fishing good, just be careful where you run your boats. When the water is low, you have fish concentrated in less areas, go get a live well full, eat the small ones.
Crappie are picking up now. Jigging around tree piles and under water structure is the trick. Night fishing under the causeways and bridges are good with minnows and vertical jigging. The "skeeters" are not a bother in the cold weather.
Cat's are still hitting and the jugs are always entertaining. They make the best table fare.
Dress warm and keep plenty of water on board. For you tournament guy's and gal's, look into Spark and Rehydrate, from Advocare, to keep you energized and focused for a full day of fishing.AGo to www.hawksadvocare.com for more info or call 334 355 5057.
Look for the up dates on www.leekingbenefit.org. The first flight is nearly filled. We are looking for a record year, only you can make it happen
God Bless & Good Fishn'
