Lake Eufaula - Freshwater Fishing Report

Lake level 188.90 msl
Water temperature mid 80' s
Water clarity stained
The lake is down a little and cooling off with the nice weather.
The Bass are working on top water really good now. The bite is holding later in the mornings now. Frogs are really strong as well as hard baits. The bite down South has been strong the past week or so. Jig's and shaky heads are also producing some good stringers. Be sure and work a Carolina rig and deep cranks on the brush piles and cover on the ledges.
Crappie are hitting jig's around trash piles.
Pan fish are doing good on worms near blow downs and brush along the banks.
Cat fish are cooperating most any time. Jugging is always fun, if you get up in a creek, out of the wind where you can keep the jug's corralled up. Barbour creek, near the bridge has some big cat's for sure. It takes a lot of attention, those big boy's will have a jug out past the barges and headed to the river in no time.
Remember to keep sun screen and water onboard, the day's can get hot on the water, especially if the wind is down. With deer season and football underway, the lake has less traffic, good news for the serious fisherman.
Visit www.alabamachildrensclassic.org and sigh up for our news letter, we have Skeeter onboard for bonus money and are waiting on answers from the others.
God Bless & Good Fishn'
Capt. Sam
