Lake Eufaula - Freshwater Fishing Report

Lake Level 188.95
Water Temp. 76 degrees
Clarity Slight stain to clear
Cooler weather and cloud cover have made for some fantastic fishing conditions. When the sun comes up, the shad begin to work. This sets up a good top water bite. Working the cover and edges with small worms and creature baits is a good pattern. Moving to deeper water and working the humps and ledges with heavy Texas rigs or jigs is also producing some better size bass.
Trolling the tops of ledges for crappie are doing the trick. Moving faster seems to be what they are looking for.
Cat fish are working on jugs in the creeks. Bottom fishing with worms or cut bait in the creek drops will work if you want a good mess for the table.
The cooler weather requires you to dress in layers so you can be comfortable as the sun comes up. Be sure and keep plenty of sun screen on, you can burn up even if the weather seems cooler. Be safe and enjoy what God has given us on Lake Eufaula.
Be sure and visit the new www.alabamachildrensclassic.org site. See the rule changes and other new items like the Bonus money programs from the boat companies. Skeeter is already on board and we are waiting on answers from all the others. Sign up for the news letter.
God Bless & Good Fishn'
