Lake Eufaula, Alabama

Capt. Sam Williams
November 16, 2013
Lake Eufaula - Freshwater Fishing Report

Lake Level 188.01 msl.
Water Temp 70's
Clarity Clear to slight stain

With cooler weather and hunting season here, the lake is not as crowded, good news for the serious fishermen. The tournaments have been bringing in some nice sacks over the past few weekends. Last Sunday there were several 20 + pound bags weighed in.

The cooler water means a slower presentation, jigs are a very good choice. Deeper structure is holding good fish. The shallow cover is still holding bait and will produce a bite. Soft plastics worked slow will work. The bait are still working on top and a hard bait worked through them will work. A lipless crank, under the school will get a bigger fish.

The night fishermen are enjoying the cooler weather for the Crappie. Under the causeways' are lit up like a stadium at night. The crappie are good sized this year.

The windy weather is making jugging for catfish a little tough. If you get back in the creeks it is easier to keep the jugs gathered up.Some nice ones are being caught on cut bait.

Be sure and keep a check on www.alabamachildrensclassic.org. We are adding news up dates all the time. We are waiting on more of the major boat companies to add us to their schedule and we will post them along with Skeeter and Legend for the bonus money programs. If you are not getting the e news letter, visit the site and sign up. We are a couple teams short of filling the first flight for June 2014.

Dress warm for the early morning cold and enjoy what God has provided for us on beautiful Lake Eufaula, Alabama.

God Bless & Good Fishn'
Capt. Sam
